"In many shamanicsocieties, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions: When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?" ~ Gabrielle Roth

ABOUT ME
After writing her dissertation on CandoCo, a disabled dance group based in London, she performed alongside them at the 2012 Paralympic Closing games, and trained as a Switch2Move practitioner, sparking her desire to offer movement as a therapeutic art form.
For three years she taught with Into Dance Berlin, inclusive dance for people with physical impairments from chronic illnesses.
Becky is also a trained yoga teacher, and also studied with Michaela Boehm the 'Non-linear movement method'; the 'Embodiment track'. She offers workshops combining dance, yoga, therapeutic movement and meditation, with various concepts and collaborations, to provide a creative way to release blockages by moving the body. This structure is called:

She is involved with creative projects, performance, choreography and artist collaboration, exploring concepts to increase awareness and deepen connection.
She was part of 'Pass The Beat', an NGO, developing music education and mindfulness programs for disadvantaged children who reside in places around the world -- such as orphanages and refugee/IDP camps -- where resources for the arts are exceedingly limited. She is also part of an ongoing ‘Artivism’ project, using specifically movement, art and expression with the commitment to freedom and justice, to raise awareness and/or push for change.
Based Lisbon. Connections to Berlin/London/Mexico
Becky was born and raised in Cambridgeshire, she trained as a professional dancer at London Studio Centre, and has performed in a wide range of productions around the world and choreographed with various collaborations.
She created Sunflow, which is a class combining dance, yoga, movement meditation and her exploration of dance in cultures. Becky integrates different ways we can move our body alongside diverse themes and practices to explore our human relationship with life around, and within us. She teaches this movement exploration in workshops, classes and through her choreography and art direction.

Becky is passionate about the healing effects dance has on the body, and sharing how it is used in different cultures for expression, in ceremony, story-telling, community and prayer.

In her commercial work she has shared the stage with artists such as Celine Dion, Florence and the Machine, Kylie Minogue, Coldplay, Rhianna, Elton John, Nicole Scherzinger, Tom Jones etc, and performed at the Olympic closing ceremonies, Royal Variety show, popular live TV shows such as The X Factor and The Voice, West End 'Thriller Live' and all arenas and Stadiums in the UK...combining contemporary, lyrical, commercial and hip hop styles.
